TIPP: Rear-Facing Car Seat Basics

Quick Overview

TIPP – Flyer

Children should travel rear-facing for as long as possible. Best practice recommendations state that children should remain rear-facing until the child reaches the maximum weight or height allowed by the car seat manufacturer. In Pennsylvania, children must remain rear-facing up to 2 years of age. Choose an appropriate car seat based on the child’s age, weight, height, and developmental needs and use it correctly following the 5-Steps for correct use. RF_Rev_CPS116
