TIPP: Belt-Positioning Booster Seat Basics

Tipp – Flyer

Children who outgrow their forward-facing car seat with a harness should be secured in a belt-positioning booster seat with a lap and shoulder belt. Children should remain in the belt-positioning booster seat until the lap and shoulder belt fits correctly on the child’s body. Select a booster seat that positions the vehicle’s lap belt low and snug across the hips/upper thighs and the shoulder belt across the center of the child’s shoulder and chest. Secure the child following the 5-Steps for correct use. CPS Week Planner Handouts_BPB_124
