The absence of a tether is open and obvious. The car seat is missing the adjustable strap on the car seat that connects to a dedicated anchor point in a vehicle.

Evenflo will provide a tether to any consumer that determines the component is missing from their seat. Evenflo will advise owners to inspect their child seat for a tether strap, and Evenflo will mail owners a tether strap with installation instructions, as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed February 20, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Evenflo customer service at 1-800-233-5921.
How remedy component differs from recalled component:
The remedy component will address the absence of, but does not differ from, the production tether.
