RECARO Child Safety LLC (RECARO) is recalling certain RECARO ProRIDE and Performance RIDE model child restraints, manufactured from April 9, 2010 through June 9, 2015.
When the affected child seats are installed using the top tether, the top portion of the restraint can crack and allow the top tether to separate from the restraint. As such, these seats fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, “Child Restraint Systems.”

Remedy: RECARO will notify registered owners to contact the RECARO Customer Service Department to receive a load limiting strap along with instructions on how to install it. Owners may contact RECARO at 1-888-973-2276 or email@example.com.
