Chicco USA, Inc. (Chicco) is recalling certain MyFit Zip Air Harness and Booster child restraint seats with model numbers 07079561970070 and 04079561190070.

Recall Information

Chicco USA, Inc. (Chicco) is recalling certain MyFit Zip Air Harness and Booster child restraint seats (CRS) with model numbers 07079561970070 and 04079561190070 manufactured between September 2020 and August 2024. In certain configurations, the child seat may allow excessive chest movement in a crash. As such, these child seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, “Child Restraint Systems.”

The recall applies only when the car seat is installed in this specific configuration: lap belt only without top tether in recline positions 3 or 4 with children weighing between 25 and 40 lbs.

CONSEQUENCE: 

A child seat that fails to properly restrain a child increases the risk of injury in a crash.

REMEDY:

The remedy is currently under development. The manufacturer has not provided a schedule for recall notification. Owner notifications will be sent out to consumers who have registered their MyFit^® Zip Air Car Seat.
